How a project runs.
A fixed route, not a meandering one. Every engagement follows the same four stops, and you know the price, the timeline, and who is doing the work before anything starts.
Understand the business before pricing the work.
A working session on your business, audience, and what the site or application must accomplish. You get a fixed-fee proposal — no hourly meter.
- A working session, not a sales call — We talk about what you sell, who decides to buy it, and what the site or application has to do for that to happen. Most of the design decisions get made here, before anything is drawn.
- A proposal within two days — We aim to have a fixed-fee proposal back to you within 48 hours of the discovery call: a written scope, a delivery schedule, and one number.
- The person who scopes it builds it — There is no handoff between the person who quoted the work and the person doing it, which is how scope stays honest on both sides.
Reviewed with you, not revealed to you.
Structure, copy direction, and visual design reviewed with you directly. Two revision rounds are built into every fixed fee.
- Structure first — The order information appears in is decided before the visual design, because it is the decision that does the most work.
- Previews in the portal — Designs are posted to your client portal, where a discussion board sits beside each preview so feedback lands next to the thing it is about.
- Two revision rounds, included — Built into every fixed fee. Not a limit to police — the number that turns out to be enough when the first round was reviewed properly.
Staged previews, never a big reveal.
Custom code on a modern, maintainable stack. You see staged previews throughout — never a big reveal at the end.
- Custom code, no page-builder stack — Hand-written React and Next.js on PostgreSQL, deployed on Vercel. Nothing to slow the site down or break at the next plugin update.
- You see it as it is built — Staged preview sites throughout, in the portal, so there is no moment where a finished thing is unveiled and found to be wrong.
- Changes are tickets — Something you want changed mid-build goes in as a ticket — a change order both of us can see, track, and close. Nothing is agreed in a call and lost.
Launch, handover, and nothing held hostage.
Launch, handover, and an optional care plan. You own the code, the content, and the accounts. No hostage situations.
- Handed over in your name — Repository, hosting, domain, database, payment processor. Full ownership of your code and accounts at handover is written into every engagement.
- Expenses settled in the open — Anything bought during the build — domains, database projects, telephony accounts — is itemised in the portal alongside your invoices, so the total cost is never a surprise.
- A care plan if you want one — Hosting, monitoring, updates, and a priority queue for changes on a flat monthly fee, month to month. Optional, and we earn the renewal.
One place for the whole engagement.
The portal opens for you when the engagement starts and is where the project is run from — previews, feedback, changes, documents, and billing, all in one place both sides can see.

- Preview sites with a discussion board — Each design and staged build is posted as a preview, with feedback threaded beside it rather than scattered across email.
- Tickets for change orders — Changes are submitted as tickets you and we can both track from request to done. That is the whole scope-change process — visible, written, and closed when it is closed.
- Documents, uploaded and shared — Brand assets, copy, contracts, anything the project needs, in one place both sides can reach.
- Billing, in full view — Expenses incurred during the build, open invoices, and outstanding balances — all visible, so the total cost of the engagement is transparent at every point.
Modern, maintainable, and yours.
The same stack on every build, chosen because it is what a senior engineer would pick for their own product — and because the next person to work on it will not need us to explain it.
